I strive to be environmentally aware, but I have noticed that when life gets crazy, the green things can be some of the first things to slide. I find that the more simple a green change is, the more likely it is that I will continue to do it. I saw Leaping Sheep Wool Dryer Balls on Facebook and was immediately interested. Have you heard of wool dryer balls? They are balls of felted wool that are available in a variety of colors. When put in your dryer along with your wet clothes, they act as a chemical-free fabric softener and they reduce drying time. Really, nothing could be easier. Toss 4-8 of the handmade wool balls in your dryer and that’s it. You can even leave them in the dryer between loads, but they are so pretty you could put them in a bowl on top of your dryer and use them as decoration.
Wool dryer balls act as a natural and safe alternative to fabric softener sheets. They also separate your laundry while drying and absorb up to 30% of their weight in moisture for more efficient drying. You’ll spend less money on the electricity or gas that’s used to run your dryer and you’ll spend less money on fabric softener. Unlike fabric softener sheets, Leaping Sheep Wool Dryer Balls won’t hurt your children (or your dog) if they play with (or chew) them.
Wool dryer balls are greater for all types of laundry, especially cloth diapers. Wool is a sustainable resource, a non-allergenic fiber, does not promote the growth of bacteria and dust mites, and is biodegradable.
Leaping Sheep Wool Dryer Balls kindly and generously sent me four balls of my own to try. I have had them in my dryer for at least two weeks and I have no complaints. Our clothes are definitely drying faster and are softer as well. The balls are made extremely well and are beautiful in color (I was sent one each of green, orange, blue, and purple). I also received excellent customer service from Leaping Sheep.
Leaping Sheep Wool Dryer Balls is offering a coupon code for 10% off. When placing an order at the Leaping Sheep Etsy Shop mention the code DRYERBALLS.
