Jade Yoga Mat – Review

Yoga is a great activity for pregnant women and moms to help tone their body and stretch those aching muscles. It clears and quiets the mind, allowing you to have more patience and endurance throughout the rest of your busy day. Not a lot of equipment is needed to practice yoga, just a good quality mat that you can take on your yoga journey with you. I have a small collection of yoga mats but my most prized mat is my Jade yoga mat. Jade mats come in great colors, they have a perfect grip to them and they are super comfortable. After using a much lower quality mat for quite some time, I had no idea how I lasted that long with it after trying my Jade mat. Jade yoga mats are made of a natural rubber that comes from tapping rubber trees. They do not contain any harmful PVC’s or synthetic ingredients. The difference in feel during a yoga practice is truly amazing. A number of different thicknesses are available depending on what your practice entails. From the most very basic yogi to the yogi that travels, there is a mat for everyone. You can also pick from some really beautiful colors. Blocks and towels are also available from Jade. I have the Jade Harmony Professional mat. It’s the most popular variety and comes in 68” and 74”. The mat is 3/16” thick which is perfect for most yogis. I practice about 2-3 times per week and the mat goes back and forth between my home and class. It’s been in the back of my van, in the closet and left out and it still looks great. A Harmony mat will cost you about $69.95. That might seem on the high end for some people but if you practice yoga regularly you know the benefits of a good mat. I’m the type of person who always feels like it’s better to save a few dollars and buy a generic brand of something. My Jade mat has truly catapulted my practice to a whole new level since I have been using it. If you are a teacher or just someone who enjoys yoga for what it is, then investing in a high quality mat such as Jade’s mats is a wise choice. You can visit www.jadeyoga.com for more information on the different mats available or to purchase a mat for yourself. Filed under: Adults/Parents, Big Kids, Dad, Little Kids, Mom, Teens
