I am a sucker for dolls! I’m an even bigger sucker for dolls that are for a cause. Such as Karito Kids.
Their dolls are absolutely beautiful, and not to mention how much of an impact the company makes to other countries. I love that you can get a Karito Kids and they are background from different countries & cultures. This is very important to me as a parent. I want my children to know and to learn about the different cultures in this world. I want my children to treat everyone fairly and always give respect.
KidsGive™’s mission is to raise global awareness among our youth, teaching them about children around the world and exposing them to the importance of social responsibility and charitable giving.
To meet this mission, KidsGive developed an interesting and unique concept that directly brings the child into the actual process of giving to, and understanding the development of, children’s humanitarian projects around the world. By directly tying together the purchase of the product branded as Karito Kids™ with the support of children’s charities, KidsGive will teach a generation of children at a young age what charitable giving really means.
Determined to identify the ideal first product to align with the KidsGive mission, the founders created a product line that will help children connect with and better understand other children around the world. The initial products are dolls and books, launching with five characters that represent girls around the world – Wan Ling, Lulu, Zoe, Gia and Pita – who come to life through beautifully made 21-inch dolls, fun adventure books and a whole range of interchangeable clothing and accessories. The 11-year-old girls characterize a modern way of life in each country and culture, providing today’s views of fashion, events, and values that shape each generation and raise global awareness along the way. Through the purchase of each Karito Kids product a percentage of sales will be donated to Plan USA, a worldwide children’s charity. By entering a unique code (found on every product) on the company website, children will be able to select the charitable cause to which the donation will be directed.
This is not a typical percent-of-profit corporate donation. From the moment you purchase any Karito Kids product, up to 6 percent of the wholesale price goes to the children’s charity Plan International. When kids take them home, they immediately get involved online at karitokids.com by activating the special code included with each product directing the donation to the area where they wish to help: School, Home, Health or Food.
You & your child decides where the donation goes.
So let’s meet the Karito Kids, shall we?
First meet Zoe;

Zoe is from the USA – My mom tells me that we have to leave New York, the city I absolutely love. I can’t leave my best friend Hana, my favorite used clothing store, riding the subway…it’s totally crazylicious (that’s one of the made-up words I’m famous for)! My mom will lose the brownstone that she’s been trying to fix up and we won’t have enough money to stay if Hana and I can’t find the missing tiara that had been hidden somewhere in the brownstone. The clock is ticking and I’m running out of time!
Meet Pita;

Pita is from Mexico – If you love horses like I do, you’ll understand how hard it was for me when Estrella, my beloved horse, went missing. On our way to our ranchito outside of Mexico City, she simply disappeared…but who did it? I’m so glad I became friends with our stable hand’s daughter to help solve the mystery that broke my heart. Mama and Papa always want me to act like a little lady but ¡caramba! what’s an 11-year-old to do when none of the grown-ups could find my Estrella?
Meet Ling;
Ling is from China – Moving to a new city can end up being one big adventure for any 11-year-old girl around the world. But I think I got more than my share of excitement. I don’t know why – maybe it’s me and my curiosity, maybe it’s the unusual job my father has, maybe it’s my love for the pandas. What I do know is that I was just trying to fit in after being forced to move to Shanghai with my parents and grandmother – and that’s when the mystery began to unfold!
Zai jian (this means goodbye in Chinese)
Meet Lulu (I love Lulu!)
Lulu is from Kenya – Everyone tells me how lucky I am to be on a kid’s TV show in Nairobi, Kenya. They’re right: It is a brilliant job, especially because I get to talk a lot about my favorite sport, football. But when a famous statue was stolen while the show was on the air and my friend was accused of doing it, I had to do something. So, join me on my quest through Nairobi to find the real thief.
Kwaheri (this means goodbye in Swahili)
Meet Gia;
Gia is from Italy and the beauty we were able to review! – You wouldn’t believe all the excitement at our little pensione in Florence, Italy. A dream came true for me as a future fashion diva: One of the greatest designers of all time was staying at our inn. Well, it was a dream… until it became a nightmare. The beautiful shoes created by the famous Franco del Sarto couldn’t be found and he was blaming me for stealing them! It took me and my American friend, who loves fashion as much as I do, to fearlessly fix this fashion fiasco.
Ciao (this means goodbye in Italian)
Meet Piper;
![]()
Piper is from Australia – Piper, an 11-year old from Sydney, Australia who enjoys surfing and volunteers as a junior lifeguard, is an emerging activist. She tries to open the minds of her friends and family about how they can make a difference! Piper comes with her own passport and a 136-page, hardbound fiction book that includes pages from her journal all about Australia!
These girls are just beyond gorgeous and made so well. Anyone who has owned a Karito Kids doll I am more than sure have been highly impressed by its quality.
Karito Kids offers attire for any occasion, from super cozy PJ’s and trendy playwear to stylish party couture. All apparel and accessories feature luxurious fabrics like velour and quilted cotteon and stylish accents in satin, faux-leather and embroidery.
