IKEA Review & Giveaway
We are an IKEA family. Before kids, my husband and I were an IKEA couple. With kids, we cannot imagine our house without IKEA furniture! You all know IKEA, whether you have one near you or not. They are the AWESOME Swedish furniture company that makes inexpensive, durable, stylish furniture. The amount of IKEA furniture in my house is incredible. From shelving to our sofa, from our kitchen to our kids’ room, every room has at least some touch of IKEA to it!

As you have read by me before (and will continue to over the next few weeks), my family and I are nearing the end of a VERY long house remodeling project. When we were designing the layout of the kids’ room, we knew we needed a well-organized way to handle all of their toys, art supplies, etc. We decided to build an entire wall of TROFAST shelving to organize everything and set a very finite limit for what they could have. When I talked to IKEA about this, they offered to send me one section of our shelving to test out.
My daughter has had an early appreciation for IKEA, so when she saw the box arrive (yes, she knows the logo!), she was excited to get it out and put it together. It took her and my husband just a few minutes to put the unit together.
The next fun step was getting her toys into the bins and onto the unit. We already had some of the tubs for this unit, so she was familiar with how to nicely put things away, but I was surprised at how excited she was to show me how the tubs slid into the shelving unit. Overall, we LOVE the TROFAST system. Once we’re in our new house, I can’t wait to put all of the pieces together and post some “after” pictures. We’ll also be labeling each tub so our kids can easily clean up their toys by putting them in the correct bin.
