Perplexus Twitter Party

This is one of the best toys/games I’ve seen in awhile.
Perplexus is fun and very addicting!
Now this kid is good…I go quite a bit slower than this kid;

But you can possibly see why it is so addicting. Once the marble falls it gets frustrating and you just want to pick it up and try again! My kids constantly ran into me while I was playing Perplexus. I kept picking it back up and trying again! My husband said I was beyond addicted to it. Until I finished it, so now it’s a breeze! hehe…Yeah, I’m kidding on that one.
I think every time you pick Perlexus up it gets a bit more challenging!

Kikou review

As a mom of a two year old and one on the way life gets well a little messy to say the least. I am always looking for new ways and ideas to keep my clothes clean. I didn’t have to look very far then the new Kikou from Clam the Crazy. The Kikou (Japanese for armor and pronounced kee-koo) is a stylish, machine-washable wrap that protects your clothing, your modesty (makes a great nursing cover), and your rep.

I was a little nervous to use the wrap because it was so pretty, but I braved it all and brought it to work at the daycare. I was really excited when I asked one of our nursing moms to try it out. She took one look at it and said oh my I am so getting one. (which she has) Just take a look at how pretty the Kikou is.

As someone who is about ready to have a baby I can tell you I love all the functions of it being modest! Nursing your baby is a very special time and to be able to still look at your little one while you nurse is great.

Now the Kikou is just not for nursing moms take a look at how my sister used it when she was feeding a bottle to a baby.

Now I used it when I painted with my son, I loved how it even covered the baby belly, which women we know is hard to do. I also tried it cooking and found I liked it better then an apron. Now ladies one wonderful feature is that the Kikou is 100 % washable! That’s right it can be thrown into the washer! Honestly they have thought of everything with it! Take a look at some of the other features the Kikou has to offer.

The kikou comes in five different designs and is $46.00 dollars. I know to some of you that may seem like a lot, but look at it this way. Burp clothes are anywhere $6.00 to $8.00 dollars for four little squares. A good nursing cover will cost you about $35.00, and being able to save that one nice shirt you love priceless! So really you are getting a great deal for your money. Not to mention each one is handmade and mommy made.

So I say if you know anyone who had a new baby, have one yourself, or someone who is having one, do yourself and them a favor and buy them a Kikou today.

Mastermind Review and Giveaway

Many of you may have grown up playing Mastermind, the great code breaking game. I for some reason, do not recall ever playing it. My sister, however, assured me that it rocked and it did. We played it as soon as I got it in the mail. She happened to be here ~ yeah!! The basic idea behind the game is that one player sets up a secret code (a sequence of colored pegs) and another tries to break it. My husband and I had a great time playing this game as well (and it was awesome to use my brain for something other than singing the ABC’s and the Itsy Bitsy Spider.

Mastermind Attache, the travel version, comes attached to a small flat case (hence attache) with compartments to store all of the pegs.

I love the idea of making such a wonderful game compact and easy to take along. Unfortunately, I think that the execution wasn’t great. The pegs are small, very, very small. My husband had a lot of trouble picking them up. They could have made the whole game a bit bigger because there is A LOT of wasted space in the case (or made the case smaller). The peg holding compartments don’t stay shut so when you carry the case around all of the pegs go flying around the case, making it time consuming to pick up the tiny pegs. Also, I think that the compartments should be at the ends of the board game, just to make life easier. However,

I still LOVE this game. It is really a blast and is a great price (around $13 on Amazon right now.) I would recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, two person game that wants a little metal exercise as well.

I, Jason Fry, and my wife were in church – December 2009.

the service (because she gets mad at me when I try and talk to her
in the service), there is so much need in this world it’s overwhelming.
The thought is paralyzing. Need is around every corner and in every country.
I told her I have to do something. I said “Why don’t I create a shoe company
(yes I love shoes) with every pair of shoes we sell, part of the
proceeds are donated to a charity of the consumers choosing
AND we give new shoes to someone who desperately needs a
pair whether they live in Uganda or Houston, Texas.” Need has no boundaries.

So what is this 50% of proceeds talk? How much is that really?
In an effort not to waste your time with “Business Man Talk” and
for us to be on the same page…….depending on the style of shoe,
shipping cost etc, 50% of the proceeds equates to $6 – $9
per pair sold being sent to your charity. We will keep you posted
constantly on the amount of money going to the charities per pair sold and overall.

We had an absolute great time at BlogHer. While we were in NY we were able to hand out some Sock Grams to some lucky ladies!
As you can see by the look on their faces they absolutely loved them!

I am more than sure you all have heard of Sock Grams before, but if not here’s a bit about them.

Being a mom of a two year old our house is filled with tons of different toys, that Logan loves at first then not so much. I always try to find some type of toys that help him learn as he thinks he is just playing! I have found that I love the Baby Genius toy line as every toy they make helps your child learn!

I was lucky enough to review the baby genius Adventure Train Set, and the baby genius board book set. The Adventure Train Set is a wonderful train made for little hands and fingers. One thing that I found so neat about the Adventure Train set was that the pieces are very easy to put together. We have brought many different train sets into our home, but this one honestly was so easy to play with. You can create any shape track you want. Figure eights, circuits, lines; you name it, this track can be configured in that way. Logans favorite way to play is in the figure eight pattern. One thing that I love the most is that it requires Logan to move the train pieces himself. As parents we all know that one way to get motor skills installed in your kids life is to make them push and pull toys themselves.

The Baby Genius Sing-A-Long Board Books are a great way for parents and kids to interact with one other. From the sing a long style to the fun picture these book are great. There are four books in the set each song can be downloaded for free from the baby genius website! The four different songs are

I am getting to enjoy a Sharpie Liquid Pencil for myself… and after showing it to a lot of my friends.. I have to say that I think I hit the UTRAL COOL status with them too.. lol

I think that after using this new pencil, I can’t go back. These do not seem to smear like normal lead and they write very smooth. Patch Products – Review + Twitter Party!

Patch products has some great games intended for your children but yet fun for the whole family.
When playing games I like being able to include everyone, including my 3 year old. Patch Products has the games that include everyone and you have to absolutely love that!

We were able to review Patch Products 3D Sneaky Puzzles Singin’ Sea Creatures. Lot’s of fun!
I let my 3 youngest kids start making the puzzle and get finished with it before I let them see it in 3D with the awesome glasses that are included. They absolutely loved it! I must say I was quite impressed as well with the quality of the 3D. The puzzle pieces are big, so my littlest one doesn’t have any problems and the pieces are easy to hold onto.

Not only is the puzzle simply awesome when you put it all together and see the great ocean life and the little fish that are swimming toward you, but when you look you can notice the letters of the alphabet and numbers 0-9 hidden in the picture. My kids absolutely loved pointing everything out to me. They had an absolute blast with this puzzle!
They really aren’t fond of puzzles because they take so long but they loved the 3D Floor Puzzle because Patch Products made it to entice our children! This to me, is a must have for anyone with younger children because they will have tons of play with it.

The Million Minute Family Challenge, are you ready for it?

The Million Minute Family Challenge is a nationwide effort to encourage family and friends to play games together. This annual event, now in its 10^th year, runs every September 1 through December 31 and participation is easy. Gather a group together and register at www.millionminute.com to receive a free organizer kit in the mail. The kit gives tips on how to host your own game night whether in your home or as a fundraiser for your school, game ideas, brochures to help spread the word, posters, tips and advice on how to publicize the event, game samples and more. Next, the Participating groups must find at least 20 minutes sometime from September through December to play a non-electronic game together and then return to www.millionminute.com to log their game playing minutes.

In 2009, 442 groups consisting of approximately 7,000 people participated. These are people dedicated and active in promoting the benefits of board games. 52% of the groups included children ages 3-7 and 62% of the groups classified themselves as families. 54% of the participants play games weekly with their family and 83% of them purchased a new board game within the last year.

My daughter, almost 2, loves this Tigger and Pooh DVD and it holds her attention fairly well. I really like that it isn’t one long movie, but rather shorter episodes that make it easy to turn off after a segment. I don’t normally let her watch TV/movies at all, but on the rare occasions that I need to keep her occupied while I do something (like shower when DH isn’t home) it works great. I also like that it does teach some things ~ like wood floats and problem solving. This DVD probably is a bit better for a slightly older child, but my daughter will grow into it and is entertained non the less.
