Pentel Arts Twitter Party!!!!

I know that most of you remember the fun we had with Pentel at our last party! Well guess what? They are doing it again! This time it is on one of my favorite subjects – scrapbooking! Yes, it’s true – I call myself a scrapbooking snob. If there is one thing that I know, it is good scrapbooking materials! Pentel has a wonderful line called Pentel Arts. Pentel Arts is made for anyone with a passion for art. You don’t have to be the best artist out there with Pentel Arts! From watercolors to glue, Pentel Arts has everything you need for your next art project.
I can’t tell you how excited I was to open my box from Pentel! Inside was everything I needed to create the perfect scrapbooking page! From glue, pens, and even my personal favorite- the Starburst white ink pen, which is perfect for times I need a nice light pen on a dark scrapbook page!
I wanted to tell you a little bit about the different products Pentel has to offer: first off is the Aquash watercoloring crayons. The set includes ten watercolor crayons, a water brush, blotting pad and sharpener. It is the perfect set to use when you want to add watercolors to your scrapbooking page.
The next thing I love is what we like to call “Scrapbooking Essentials.” Now these are some of my favorite items for scrapbooking! This includes a Tape N’Glue, Outline markers, Sunburst white gel pen, Fine point Permanent marker & a set of Sign pens. Look at all of these items!
I couldn’t wait to try out the items from Pentel Arts. Over the weekend, I made 3 scrapbooking pages! Remember, Pentel Arts is for all levels of users- you don’t have to be an expert scrapbooker to love it!
By taking and using the starburst pen in white I was able to create white stars and (what my husband refers to as) a firecracker on the top of the page. The rest was cutting out white sheets of paper in 4 by 6 squares and adhering them with the Pentel tape and glue gun. This was a really easy and fast page!
This page was the most difficult to make. I never would have been able to make this page if it wasn’t for the Pentel Tape N’ Glue! Anyone who knows scrabooking knows how hard it is to find glue that does not show through vellum. Look no further- the Pentel Tape N’ Glue does not show through!

Epson Artisan 710 – Review + Giveaway

I have had the most funnest time reviewing the Epson Artisan 710! I mean seriously, there is so much you can do with this awesome printer and I have had SO much fun!
Not only can I use it for ‘work’ but I have also used it for fun!
Such as…I made coloring pages of my children. Yep! I took their pictures, turned the Epson Artisan 710 to Coloring Book and printed their pictures out!
Once done I spent some time coloring them in.
It was SO much fun! Here…take a look for yourself!
I know I have to practice, but being my first time I don’t think I did too bad!!

So does that cover it? Well not really because those are just the specs. I like to go with my personal feelings better than having to read about the specs because sometimes what a product SAYS it does, it doesn’t always DO IT!
However, I am a strong supporter of Epson and I stand behind the Epson name and brand.
I am IN LOVE with my new printer! Honestly, it prints fast, the ink is great quality and it lasts awhile! I hate when my kids bug me to print out pictures for them, coloring pages especially and it wastes all my black ink! What is awesome about the Epson Artisan 710 is that once you run out of black ink, it uses the colors to form and match black ink. So it saves you time & money in the long run!The scanning is super fast, and goes directly to your computer. I run Windows 7 and it is compatible with it. Runs absolutely perfect on my computer!
I also tried doing the note book paper out of one of my kids photo’s. It came out awesome. So what I am going to do is make my own ‘Barefoot Mommies’ personalized notebook paper!
Instead of me spending a fortune on it I can simply make it myself and still have the professional look I am aiming for. You can also just print out college-ruled or wide-ruled paper without anything on it.
Would help with school children when you’re totally out of lined paper! And, it looks just like the lined paper you buy from the store…Course, you’d have to punch your own holes.
Epson sent me some pictures they had printed from the Epson Artisan 710 and I have got to say W.O.W! You know how when you print a picture and it LOOKS like it was printed from a printer?
Not for the Epson Artisan 710! The pictures came out absolutely perfect! I mean, really stunning to say the least. No, I didn’t just go off of the pictures I was sent, I actually put the Epson Artisan 710 to the test and printed out my own pictures. They looked exactly the same & PERFECT! Even my parents thought that I had them made/developed at the store.Honestly, how you take the picture is how it prints out.
You will know when you take a beautiful photo like this, the Epson Artisan 710 will print it out exactly how it is.

SwimWays has all sorts of products that are perfect for being outside and in the pool. Tons of things to help teach your child how to swim and help you as a parent feel comfortable that they are in the pool.I was at Walmart the other day looking through all of their products for swimming and pool items, and I was pretty happy to see a lot of the products they have are SwimWays products. I received a few items from SwimWays to review and they were absolutely perfect for the pool that we have.

This ball is super fun. We toss it in after we insert the batteries and watch it go. The kids chased it around to see who can catch it first. They had a lot of fun with this ball. I think it’s a must have for anyone who has a pool! My kids absolutely loved it. Priced at $9.95 on the SwimWays website. You can also purchase this at Walmart and I’m sure other retailers as well.

Being a mom is challenging. If it’s being a WAHM or a mom who works away from the home it’s all a challenge.
Some say working from home, or just being a stay at home mom is easy, but let me tell you it isn’t. So many of us deal with tons of challenges on a daily basis.
Each day you are going above the call of duty by being not only a mother, but also a wife, a teacher, a referee, a handy man, a comforter and more.I would say my most memorable moment I’ve endured by being a mom is MANY! But I guess what stands in my mind most is when I had to be a mother to my 4 children, and taking care of my husband when he was first diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes.
To some they would say, so what? He has it, no big deal.
But when we found out he has type 1 diabetes it really put things into prospective for me. Not only did I have to find out what was happening to my husband by him going into seizures (Normally healthy otherwise) and why he wouldn’t wake up one night and the total panic I had at that moment in time.
When my house was full of my mom, grandparents and paramedics at 2am in the morning my thought was how can I take care of my husband and being at the hospital with him in ICU and taking care of my children.
With it being at that VERY moment nothing else mattered except my family.Struggling with a baby and 3 other children who needed me and a husband who didn’t know where he was, who he was or who I even was, was a huge challenge.
We came through it and became stronger for it. Our family, no matter the problems we had before this; didn’t matter anymore.
All that mattered was healing him and us become a stronger family because of it.
Nothing else matters, plain and simple. All that matters is you being a mom, wife, a teacher, a referee, a handy man, and a comforter.

An idea is born!!
The idea for SafetyTat temporary child ID tattoos was born of necessity one weekend at an amusement park. On Labor Day Weekend, Baltimore Mom, Michele Welsh and her husband, there with their three small children, feeling out-numbered. How to Apply your SafetyTat® Quick Stick Write-On! Kids’ Temporary Tattoo Applique
While you are applying your SafetyTat Temporary ID Tattoo, talk to your child about safety, and the significance of his or her SafetyTat. Take a look at some of our recommended child safety tipsto jump start your conversation.
1). Be sure your child’s skin is clean and dry before you apply the temporary ID tattoo. Please make sure your child’s skin does not have sunscreen or lotion on it before applying SafetyTat.
2). Choose a place to apply on his or her arm — any body part that doesn’t have a lot of hair. Choose a spot on your child to apply SafetyTat where your child will not be tempted to remove it (like on the outside of arm, or behind neck — “out of sight, out of mind!”) If your child does not pick or pull the “Quick Stick Write-On!” SafetyTat, it can last for days, even weeks!
3). Very carefully, peel a single SafetyTat from the larger sheet, avoiding contact with adhesive
4). Apply, to skin, adhesive side down, press firmly 20 seconds
Note: You cannot remove and reposition your SafetyTat once it is applied…it won’t stick twice!
5). Slowly remove the top protective layer at slit
6). Once applied to skin, clearly write emergency information on SafetyTat using the provided tattoo marking pen
How to Remove your SafetyTat® Quick Stick Write-On! Kids’ Temporary ID Tattoo Applique
“Low and slow” works best: Loosen edges of SafetyTat with fingernail (You may consider using a moisturizer to soften the adhesive along the peel edge.) Hold the skin next to the SafetyTat ID tattoo with one finger. Remove SafetyTat “low and slow”, keeping it close to skin surface and pulled back over itself. As the SafetyTat ID tattoo is removed, continue supporting the skin next to the SafetyTat with one finger.

How to Apply your Original Style SafetyTat® Brand Kids’ Temporary ID Tattoos
You will need a WARM WET sponge, washcloth or paper towel for Step 5.
While you are applying your SafetyTat Temporary ID Tattoo, talk to your child about safety, and the significance of his or her SafetyTat. Take a look at some of our recommended child safety tips to jump start your conversation.
1). Be sure your child’s skin is clean and dry before you apply the temporary tattoo. Please make sure your child’s skin does not have sunscreen or lotion on it before applying SafetyTat. Please avoid using sunscreen on or near your SafetyTat, as many brands will break down the adhesive in SafetyTats.
2). Choose a place to apply on his or her arm—any body part that doesn’t have a lot of hair.
3). Carefully peel the clear transfer sheet away from the colored side of the temporary ID tattoo (your finger nail works best). The adhesive from the clear transfer sheet should now be on the tattoo.
4). With dry hands, press and hold firmly in place on your child’s arm for one minute so your body heat can set the tattoo to his or her skin. This is probably the most important step to a good application!
5). Now, use your WARM wet sponge, washcloth or paper towel to thoroughly wet the back of the temporary tattoo. As the water soaks in, the tattoo will become visible through the paper. Use lots of water for best results. Within about 30 seconds, the paper will soon easily slip from your child’s temporary tattoo. Let the tattoo dry thoroughly. This can take several minutes. Please be sure your SafetyTat is dry before covering with clothing (or sheets/blankets).
If your tattoo still seems sticky after you have wet it and slipped the paper off, simply add more water to the top. This is just residual adhesive from the protective paper you have removed. TAT TIP Baby powder! After your SafetyTat dries completely, and if it still seems somewhat sticky, sprinkle just a little baby powder on it and lightly rub. This is such a great Tat Tip, and it feels so nice, too!
For best results, apply a new Original Style SafetyTat each day.
How to Remove your Original Style SafetyTat® Brand Kids Temporary Child ID Tattoos
You can remove your child’s temporary tattoo with baby oil or rubbing alcohol. Be sure to wash the area with soap and water before you try again.
Your SafetyTat Kids Temporary Child ID Tattoo can last from one to several days.If you have sensitive skin and have received a rash from band-aids or adhesives you may want to leave your tattoo on for only a few hours. You can shower with your tattoo, but do not scrub—just rinse lightly to keep clean.
SafetyTat uses only medical grade adhesive on all products. The adhesive is acrylic-based and does not contain latex. Always be cautious and do a small test area with your tattoos prior to applying for long durations. Warning:Do not apply to sensitive skin or near eyes. As a precaution, do not use this temporary tattoo (or any other adhesive products) if you are pregnant or nursing.
