Daddy Scrubs Review and Giveaway

Being pregnant is one of the most exciting times in your life. Whether you are the women who is pregnant, or the man who is experiencing the excitement with you. I know when I was pregnant with my son, my husband was always so excited to see the baby, listen to the heartbeat, and see my belly grow. He later told me he wished there was something out there that made him feel a little more special for being the daddy. I thought of that a lot when we got pregnant this time, what can I find for my husband that will make him feel that special? Well I didn’t have to look that far because I found Daddy Scrubs! Daddy Scrubsis a company that make everyday scrubs and make them special for the Daddy’s to be! Just read why Robert Nickell said about why he made Daddy Scrubs.
DaddyScrubs™ is the offspring of Robert Nickell, who fathered his first four children more than 20 years ago. DaddyScrubs™ was conceived when Robert, who remarried in 2007, discovered he was about to be a father all over again in the fall of 2009!
Not wanting to endure the pains of wearing uncomfortable street clothes while comforting his laboring wife, Robert hatched the idea of creating doctor-like scrubs for himself. It seemed a natural thing for him to do — since Robert is a pharmacist by profession.
To eliminate the confusion between “who’s the doctor” and “who’s the daddy,” Robert fashioned the concept of “I’m The Daddy™” medical scrubs.

Just look at those scrubs and tell me you don’t want to see your husbands in them Lady’s, or you men out there can’t you see yourself in them! My husband Stephen was all to excited to model them for you all to see. Here are those pictures!

As you ca tell from these photos my hubby loved the scrubs, and T-Shirt. My husband is in scrubs almost everyday for his job, and told me “These scrubs are so much more comfortable them my normal ones.”
Daddy Scrubs really know how to make that special man in your life feel so special on the day your baby is born! I know that I can’t wait for that day to come when my husband gets to wear his scrubs to the hospital and welcome our new addition to our family. I know how proud he will be wearing the scrubs I’m the Daddy!
Well guess what folks now you all have your chance to win your own pair of Daddy Scrubs.

Eggo Real Fruit Pizza Blog Tour
My daughter and son are on a waffle kick lately. They’ve always enjoyed them, but it’s really intensified lately. I bought 2 24-packs of Eggos the other night. It’s out of control. So, naturally, when I had the chance to try a new Eggo product, I took it!
Eggo has introduced the Real Fruit Pizza, topped with fruit and granola. We baked ours, but you can make them in the microwave in a minute! They come in two flavors: Strawberry Granola and Mixed Berry Granola!

I was actually traveling for work when ours arrived, so my husband and kids made it—without me—to go with dinner. My daughter loved it. My son, who is 16 months and occasionally hates things he loved the previous day, decided he did not like waffles that night. My husband was impressed that the waffle didn’t get too soggy from the fruit and granola topping. He liked it, but he’s too picky an eater for me to get him to want to buy it all the time. Since I didn’t try it, I’ll buy one for my daughter and I one lazy Saturday morning, I suppose.
“I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Eggo Real Fruit Pizza and received a sample of the product and a $20 Amazon gift certificate to facilitate my review.”

Stevia Extract in the Raw Review and Giveaway
We drink a lot of tea at our house. Hot in the winter, iced in the summer. Actually, I love iced tea all year. I have been making a lot of iced tea this summer. I use sugar. My husband hates artificial sweeteners and I gave them up when I was pregnant and nursing, and haven’t gone back. But, we’re consuming so many empty calories! So, I thought it would be fun to do a taste test at home and switch Stevia Extract in the Raw for sugar.
Well, my husband tasted the tea and said “what is this?” He didn’t dislike it, but he really is a sugar purist. I, on the other hand, LOVED it. I have been making my own batches of tea with Stevia Extract in the Raw to enjoy my tea and cut all those calories out of my day. I haven’t tried it in baking yet, but I think I’ll work on another taste-test soon!
Stevia Extract in the Raw is a plant-based sweetener. So, it’s 100% natural and calorie-free!
Want to buy it? You can purchase it online or in stores nationwide! Be sure to download the coupon from their website before you go shopping!
Want to win it? One lucky winner will win a Stevia Extract in the Raw baker’s bag (what I used for the tea—it measures like sugar) and a box of packets (perfect for on the go—I leave some in my desk at work for unsweetened tea and coffee).
To enter, visit their website and tell me how you would use Stevia. Is it a recipe on their site? Let me know in the comments!
Contest ends 8/2/10 at 11:59 EDT and is open to residents of USA who are 18 years old or older. Void where prohibited by law. Winner will be chosen by random.org after the close of the contest and will have 48 hours to respond to email. If no response is received within 48 hours, winner forfeits their prize and a new winner will be drawn. No purchase necessary.
Stevia Extract in the Rawprovided me with a baker’s bag and box of packets and is sponsoring the giveaway prize. No additional compensation was received. All opinions are mine.

Tabatchnick Soups – Review and Giveaway
I often forget to pack a lunch for work. It’s an annoying habit. I’m hoping to break it when I send my daughter to school in the fall, since I’ll be packing one for her!
Because of this, I like to leave some cans of soup in my desk and frozen items in the fridge at work. I was excited to try Tabatchnick soups so I could leave some in the office for days like that!
The frozen soups come two pouches to a box. So, today, I ate the second of the two Vegetarian Chili soups I had in the freezer. (Last week, I had some Barley & Mushroom Soup.) The soups are really good! I like them because I can understand all of the ingredients on the label (you know, mushrooms, beans, etc.—real words!) and they are really well seasoned. The chili wasn’t spicy enough for me, so I added a little shredded pepper-jack cheese to the top (I usually always use cheddar) and it was great that way! The Barley & Mushroom soup was really good, too. I can’t believe I’ve passed these by in the store so many times before!

My store didn’t have a huge selection (maybe 8 varieties), but there are some products that look really tasty that I’d like to try. Like, corn chowder. I LOVE corn chowder. They also make shelf-stable soups and broths, but my store didn’t have those either. But, even so, I was very happy with the soups I tried. And, it saved me from buying deep-fried food on lunch today.
A little more about the company, in their words:
CEO Ben Tabatchnick keeps his great-grandma in mind every time he develops a new soup or personally visits an ingredient supplier. You’ve heard that some kosher brands answer to ‘a higher authority?’ Well, in the Tabatchnick family, when it came to soups, there was no higher authority in the kitchen than Momma.
As little Benje Tabatchnick, he took tickets from customers in line at the family delis, and then spent his youth working alongside his father, watching and learning what it takes to create great food. He worked as a buyer, traveling the world in search of the finest, freshest ingredients, and today, as CEO, he continues the family tradition by creating world-class soups.
“One of the greatest joys in life is sitting at a table, watching the steam rise from a hot bowl of soup, and anticipating that first spoonful,” he says. “We all have wonderful memories of soup. We ate it with our families, before a big holiday meal, or as a warm lunch on a cold winter’s day.”
Want to buy some? Visit the store locator on their website to find a store near you!
Want to win some? I have a prize pack with an apron, insulated soup tote, and coupons to give away to one lucky reader!
To enter, visit their website and leave me a comment telling me which product you most want to try.

Barilla “Share the Table” Blog Tour
I LOVE pasta! My mom’s side of the family is Italian, so I ate pasta a lot as a kid. I still do. I also enjoy sitting down to eat dinner with my family every night, so participating in Barilla’s “Share the Table” program was a no-brainer for me!
“Share the Table” encourages families to eat together and enjoy dinner time. Their website offers recipes and advice on how to make dinner time more special. AND, since I know how much you all like freebies and contests, Barilla has a “Pasta Friday Sweepstakes” with the chance to win pasta and sauce and the “Mealtime Moments Contest” to share stories and enter to win prizes. AND, for each person who becomes a fan of meaningful meals at ShareTheTable.com, Barilla will donate $1 to Meals on Wheels Association of America.
As if all that wasn’t good enough, Barilla pasta and sauces are tasty, too! My family and I have been exclusively buying Barilla pasta for a few years now. We love their Piccolini Mini Penne.

I had not had their sauce, though. So, I got a jar of their Roasted Garlic sauce. It was really good! It will definitely be one of two varieties we buy from now on. I’m anxious to try another variety soon.
I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Barilla and received products necessary to facilitate my candid review.
Retweet this post“The Jensen Project” Friday Family Movie Night
July 13, 2010 by Carrie
Filed under Adults/Parents, Big Kids, Dad, Kids, Little Kids, Mom, Reviews, TeensDo you and your family sit down and watch movies together?? We LOVE to have family movie nights!! It is hard to find a good family movie with great moral values, but NBC, Walmart and Procter & Gamble are doing it again!!
Did you see the first movie, “Secrets of the Mountain” on NBC, that was made so that your family can sit down on a Friday night and watch a family movie together? It was the #1 show on NBC on April 16!
Millions of families answered the call to “vote with your remote” in support of high-quality family TV. You can watch the trailer here: www.VoteWithYourRemote.com, and support the TV project supported by Wal-Mart, the largest company in the world and Procter & Gamble, the largest advertiser in the world.
The next Friday family movie night movie “The Jensen Project” airs, Friday July 16 on NBC.
Here is a little about the movie:
The world is hanging by a string. Can this family pull it together?
After a 16-year absence, Claire and Matt Thompson are reintroduced to The Jensen Project — a secret community of geniuses conducting advanced underground research to solve the world’s most difficult problems. The former scientists, accompanied by their tech-minded teenage son Brody, are thrust into a frantic pursuit to keep a potentially dangerous technology from falling into the wrong hands. As the family races against the clock to stop the group’s rogue faction, they discover an important truth. In this high-pressure, high-tech world, sometimes the smartest thing we can do is lean on each other.
If millions of families tune in to The Jensen Project on July 16, more family movies with great moral values will get made. It’s as simple as that.
Please help support the “vote with your remote” cause. Remember you can go to www.VoteWithYourRemote.com and sign up to support the cause and stay informed about family programming at the movies and on TV.
I hope that you will be like our family and sit in for a Friday family movie night, July 16th on NBC for the “The Jensen Project“.

I know that most of you remember the fun we had with Pentel at our last party! Well guess what? They are doing it again! This time it is on one of my favorite subjects – scrapbooking! Yes, it’s true – I call myself a scrapbooking snob. If there is one thing that I know, it is good scrapbooking materials! Pentel has a wonderful line called Pentel Arts. Pentel Arts is made for anyone with a passion for art. You don’t have to be the best artist out there with Pentel Arts! From watercolors to glue, Pentel Arts has everything you need for your next art project.
I can’t tell you how excited I was to open my box from Pentel! Inside was everything I needed to create the perfect scrapbooking page! From glue, pens, and even my personal favorite- the Starburst white ink pen, which is perfect for times I need a nice light pen on a dark scrapbook page!
I wanted to tell you a little bit about the different products Pentel has to offer: first off is the Aquash watercoloring crayons. The set includes ten watercolor crayons, a water brush, blotting pad and sharpener. It is the perfect set to use when you want to add watercolors to your scrapbooking page.

The next thing I love is what we like to call “Scrapbooking Essentials.” Now these are some of my favorite items for scrapbooking! This includes a Tape N’Glue, Outline markers, Sunburst white gel pen, Fine point Permanent marker & a set of Sign pens. Look at all of these items!

I couldn’t wait to try out the items from Pentel Arts. Over the weekend, I made 3 scrapbooking pages! Remember, Pentel Arts is for all levels of users- you don’t have to be an expert scrapbooker to love it!

By taking and using the starburst pen in white I was able to create white stars and (what my husband refers to as) a firecracker on the top of the page. The rest was cutting out white sheets of paper in 4 by 6 squares and adhering them with the Pentel tape and glue gun. This was a really easy and fast page!

This page was the most difficult to make. I never would have been able to make this page if it wasn’t for the Pentel Tape N’ Glue! Anyone who knows scrabooking knows how hard it is to find glue that does not show through vellum. Look no further- the Pentel Tape N’ Glue does not show through!

Now that I have showed you what can be done with a few items from Pentel Arts, Pentel would love to give YOU the chance to win your own items! There will be a total of six prizes (one is a GRAND prize)!
First prize will be for the Aquash watercoloring crayons (1 winner)

The next prize will be for all the “Scrapbook essentials”! (4 winners) Each winner will win the following: 3 Outline Markers, a Tape N’Glue, Sunburst white gel pen, a Fine Point Permanent Marker & a set of Sign pens!

The (drumroll, please) GRAND prize will be for the set of Aquash watercolors, ALL of the “Scrapbooking Essentials” AND a $25.00 visa card so you can stock up on your own scrapbooking/ art supplies!

I know you all will want these prizes!

July 6, 2010 by SaraM
Filed under Baby, Kids, Little Kids, Review, Reviews, Reviews and Giveaways, ToddlerWe love our Zubels!! When I first thought of hand knit toys, I prejudged them. I pictured boring (or scary looking!) animals. Zubels certainly are not boring (or scary). They are adorable, detailed, and sooo loved by my girls!
From the company:
MEET THE ZUBELS…QUIRKY AND CUTE 100% COTTON,ECO-FRIENDLY HAND KNIT TOYS
CHICAGO, IL -Parents will be delighted to meet these new adorable hand knit toys which are hitting stores near you. Zubels are created using eco-friendly dyes and 100% all-natural super soft cotton giving them an exquisite touch. Each unique Zubels character is 100% hand knit and stuffed to perfection. One look at these playful characters will have kids falling in love and creating a world of their own through imaginary play. Every Zubels character is created with a distinct personality, just like every child! Zubels come in a variety of styles and sizes.
I love the fact that they are all hand knit and don’t have any embellishments on them. My 22 month old loves them and they are SAFE for my 6 month old!! I really like toys that they can share.
We received two different toys.
The first is:
Isn’t she cute? I love the fine details, like the hair and the cute bloomers she is wearing. She is very soft, but not too squishy. My daughters both love playing with her. Okay, so only my toddler “plays” with her, but my 6 month old thinks that she is a great teether. They make really great pillows too!
The second is:
Have You Seen My Bell? is an wonderful board book that comes with a cute lion rattle. The story is about a child that lost his favorite bell and asks different Zubels to help him find it. Doris (the cute monkey above) is one of those characters. My daughter loves showing me her when we get to that page. Also, on every page the bell is hidden somewhere in the picture. My daughter loves searching for the bell on each page. It is a great first search and find book. One page asks you to “Shake your rattle to wake him (Leonard the lion). Are you big and bold and brave?” My daughter loves shaking her miniature Leonard and saying “I’m brave!”
Just when I didn’t think that I could love Zubels any more…
ZUBELS INTRODUCES NEW LINE OF 100% ORGANIC COTTON, ECO-FRIENDLY HAND KNIT CHARACTERS
CHICAGO, IL -Zubels are hitting the beach as they roll out their new line of 100% organic cotton hand knit rattle characters. The vibrantly colored sea creatures are hand knit with 100% super soft organic cotton yarns colored with eco-friendly dyes. These adorable toys are perfect for your green baby and eco-toddler. Every Zubels character is created with a distinct personality, just like every child!
I totally want these…
or these for my baby.
Wouldn’t they make wonderful shower gifts?Myself, my daughters (22 months and 6 months), my husband, and all of my mommy friends have really loved Zubels. Checkout their fun website and let me know which one is your favorite!
