The Frye Company
I just wanted to share with you my experience with The Frye Company. I was able to try out a pair of absolutely adorable boots for my daughter. I was amazed by the quality and details on these boots. My daughter loved them and wears them very often. I had to force her to take them off the first two weeks.
I would like to tell you a little about The Frye Company that I obtained from their website:
Founded in 1863 by John A. Frye, a prominent English shoemaker, The Frye Company is the oldest continuously operated shoe company in the United States. Mr. Frye ran the business for nearly 50 years and after his death in 1911, his family continued to run the company until 1945.
Frye’s footwear has a long and illustrious history… Frye boots were worn by Union and Confederate soldiers during America’s Civil War, as well as soldiers in the Spanish- American War including Teddy Roosevelt and his Rough Riders. When homesteading sparked adventurous New England families to go West in the mid and late 1800’s, many of these pioneers wore Frye Boots for the long journey.
Frye’s Harness Boot is rooted in tradition and continues to draw influence from the American Cavalry. During a 1938 trip to Washington, DC, John A. I was given the chance to try out one of their bags. I chose to get one with the Arkansas Razorback emblem on it since my husband and family are big fans. I found that the small bag was very well constructed and very cute!

This is a cordless system that comes with a face brush, universal charger, 1 brush for sensitive skin, 1 brush for normal skin, 1 body brush, 2 oz. Botanical Cleanser, and 2 oz. Botanical Toner. The first time I used it I was truly amazed. My skin felt wonderful. It didn’t take very long either, and I loved the convenience of being able to use it in the shower. You just apply the cleanser to your skin or the brush head, wet your skin and use the brush in a small circular motion. It is so gentle. When you are don’t you are left with an amazingly soft smooth skin surface. My face was radiant and glowing when I was done. I didn’t even apply make up to it. Just some mascara and that was it. It was not abrasive at all. I have been using this product for several weeks now and I am still very pleased with my results. I just love the way my skin feels after using it. I really like the convenience of being able to use it in the shower, so it definitely saves me time.

Don’t you just hate shaving your legs? Doesn’t it seem like you have to shave them every day? A lot of women have to shave every day, like me. Then if you shave them first thing in the morning by the afternoon there is already stubble. I have tried many different methods of shaving. I’ve tried the Epilady (ouch that hurt), Waxing (that hurts too), and many different electric razors (they don’t seem to get my legs very smooth). Then there are the creams that usually give me a rash. Well recently I was given the opportunity to try the Emjoi Light Caress cordless Epilator.
This Epilator is awesome! I was afraid it was going to be painful, but it really isn’t. It is small and shaped well, very comfortable to use. It has 36 tweezers that truly leaves your skin smooth for weeks. The tweezers are 24 Karat gold plated and hypoallergenic. It also has a small spotlight that is very helpful when using it. It removes the hair from the root. You can enjoy smooth skin for up to 6 weeks. They use a patented pain reduction technology that really reduces discomfort. You can use it on hair that is as short as 0.5 mm. The contoured design hugs your curves to easily remove all of the hair. It has soft touch grips that fit comfortably in your hand. It is gentle enough to use on the lip or chin. You can also use it on your legs, bikini line and underarms. It comes with a Massaging Finger attachment that really makes it more comfortable to use. You can use it corded or cordless, which is very handy. It’s very compact and great for when you’re traveling. It is also very easy to clean.
With Spring and Summer well on the way, this is a great thing to have. You will have silky smooth legs for shorts and bathing suit weather. I have found that is saves me so much time in the shower; which also saves on water usage. In the package the Light Caress comes with the unit, charger, cleaning brush, loofa, massaging finger, and a handy pouch.

Chaka’s MMM Sauce – Review & Giveaway
What is Chaka MMM Sauce??
Chaka MMM Sauce was originally created in a small California kitchen using an old family recipe. This sauce is fat free, sugar free, dairy free. It doubles as a wonderful marinade and premium sauce. With wonderful reviews from friends and family Chaka began bottling this sauce and fifteen years ago. This sauce goes great with any kind of meat, poultry, fish, or vegetables. It is wonderful on anything.
I recently got a chance to try some Chaka MMM Sauce. I have to tell you, honestly, this has to be the best sauce I have ever had. I used it to grill some steaks and chicken breast. It was heavenly! The flavor was amazing. I put the meat on a plate and marinated it for about 2 hours prior to grilling. (For best results they recommend that you marinate overnight in a zip lock bag.) Then it was simple…..just grill. The flavor was wonderful. I don’t think I could get by using any other sauce ever! I got a chance to sample the original and the zesty formulas. They were both wonderful; my family however is a big fan of the original. The zesty is very good too but the original is absolute perfection. It complemented beef and chicken so well. I don’t think there is a meat it would not improve on. I will definitely be ordering this for grilling season which is just around the corner. One of our favorite spring and summer activities is to grill outside. It definitely won’t be grilling without Chaka’s MMM Sauce!! I cannot say enough about it. I stand behind this product 150%.
The Chaka’s website also has many wonderful recipes to try, I encourage you to check it out! You will be amazed by the many, many uses for this sauce. It truly has limitless possibilites.

Helix Biomedix – Review & Giveaway
I was given the wonderful opportunity to try the Helix Biomedix products. I got to use the Face Cleanser and moisturizer. I have been using this product for two weeks now and just love it. With the moisturizer I used to use, I found that I was reapplying it several times a day. My face would feel a bit greasy when I first used it , then it would dry out a couple of hours later. This breakthrough formula is great. I can put it on once a day and feel moisturized and ready for the day. Better yet, it lasts all day. My skin feels so soft and supple. I wash my face in the morning and before bed with the cleanser, and then follow up with the moisturizer. I have noticed that the longer I use it the better my skin feels. I am especially impressed during this time of year with the cold dry weather of the winter season. I always have problems with my skin this time of year. I have to admit that I am really glad this isn’t something that is very time consuming. I appreciate that, since I am usually very busy and in the past have neglected to cleanse my face before bed. This system is not time consuming at all. It makes it nice to quickly wash your face and moisturize before you fall into bed….ha-ha, Like I know many of us do.

Dr. Hess Udder Ointment has been around quite a long time. The company was started in the Early 1900’s by Dr. Gilbert Hess, a MD and veterinarian. The company has sent countless cases to our soldiers in Iraq who deal with a very harsh environment, especially on the skin. They also participate in many other charities such as cancer clinics.
I have recently had the wonderful opportunity to try some of this product. First of all I would like to tell you that this product is not a new one. It has been around for years. My mother and grandmother grew up using it. It is an amazing invention. It works great for dry chapped skin, diaper rash, eczema, psoriasis, cracked heels and cuticles, chapped lips, and much more. I have been using this product for a week now and my lips have never been so soft. I put it on about twice a day and it works great. Especially now with the cold winter weather we are having. I have struggled in the past trying to keep my lips from cracking and splitting. My 15 year old daughter has Eczema. She has struggled with it since she was born. The doctors told me that she would out grow it but has not so far. I gave her some to try and she has been putting in on the dry, itchy, red, scaly patches on her arms and legs (where she breaks out most) for a week now and you can hardly tell she has it anymore. She is ecstatic!! Being in High School she has been teased about it frequently. We have taken her to numerous dermatologists trying to find something to treat it and make it less visible. She is so happy that we have finally found something. I have also been having my husband using it on his hands. He is an aircraft mechanic and constantly has his hands in different chemicals that are very drying. On top of that he winter air is harsh on them and he will get eczema patches on them. Cheesy Ham and Leek Soup
My husband doesnt typically like soups but he loved this one.
Cheesy Ham and Leek Soup
2T Butter
1C Sliced Leeks
1 Clove Garlic
2T Flour
1/8 t Pepper
1C Half & Half
1C Chicken Broth
1 ½ C Diced Ham
1C Jarlsberg or Swiss Cheese
1T Chopped Chives
Boiled Potatoes
Heat butter over medium heat, add leeks and garlic and cook until soft. Stir in flour and pepper until blended. Stir in half & half and chicken broth and heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir one minute. Stir in ham, cheese and potatoes and cook until cheese is melted. Serve hot.
