I was beyond excited when Toshiba contacted me wanting me to review one of their newest products! It hadn’t even hit the shelves yet when I got my hands on it, which was really cool!
It’s called the Toshiba Automatic Backup Portable Hard Drive. I know you’re probably thinking; “Another portable backup drive?” But this one is DIFFERENT!
The new Toshiba Automatic Backup Portable Hard Drive is SUPER easy! I am a mom of 4 kids, I don’t have time to sit at my computer and read the directions and then get frustrated because I can’t figure out how it works! I want something SIMPLE to use and quick, too!
That’s why Toshiba came up with this newest Automatic Backup Portable Hard Drive. They had parents in mind, but not only us, but our children too. School is coming SOON and we’re going to have to buy school supplies and all of that stuff. When your purchasing your Back to School items you seriously need to consider getting this! Kids take THOUSANDS of photo’s! I know, I have a teen! If she lost her pictures she wouldn’t be able to think straight, so it’s nice that I have this little handy portable backup drive. I can use it on my computer, my husbands computer and my teenage daughters.
What also sets the Toshiba Automatic Backup Portable Hard Drive apart from others is that there is absolutely NO software to install onto your computer. I simply just plugged it into my USB port and I was finished. All I had to do was put my photo’s or whatever else I wanted onto it and it’s all nicely backed up safe and sound.
Toshiba and Walmart have teamed up to bring you this awesome hard drive at an unbeatable price!
Toshiba designed the Walmart Automatic Backup Portable Hard Drive specifically with female consumers in mind. With bilingual copy and documentation, the program will also address Spanish-speaking consumers.
This product seamlessly fits into consumers’ lifestyles with its approachability and ease of use. Precious photos, movies, music, and files are backed up automatically.
So here’s some more info on this awesome little Toshiba Automatic Backup Portable Hard Drive.

I absolutely love the Toshiba Automatic Backup Portable Hard Drive. I am planning on purchasing the 1TB at Walmart. At only $84.99 for 1TB I think that is an awesome deal! The 500GB is also really cheap at only $59.99. Toshiba and Walmart wanted to make a price point where everyone is able to afford it. And yet, it’s simple and gets the job done without any confusion!
My review is an honest opinion based on my own experience, and is not reviewed or edited by Toshiba. I did receive a review unit.

I purchased a 1TB Toshiba HHD and intended it to be used on my new lap top running Windows 7 which according to the Toshiba would be a plug and play.
After connecting the Hard Drive I got no response that it indicated it had loaded. I called the supplied tech support number and after four tries final talked to a tech support person and before the issue could be resolved I was disconnected. I returned the call and this occurred three times” being disconnected”. Final on the forth try I spoke with a tech support and they tried to format the Hard drive which removed all of the auto back up.
When I tried to do a manual back up to the new hard drive the HHD was not recognized and I was unable to complete that task.
I found this device not to work as advertised and the support to be very lacking and minimal at best I am returning this product today to Wal-Mart glad I kept the receipt I will never purchase another Toshiba product again.
