My Carry Potty

Rarely do I find a product that I really love.  Especially for the kids.  I mean, there is SOO much available, but is it all necessary/good/useful??  Well, I’m not sure that this product is an absolute cannot live without, but it certainly will make life easier for both you and your potty training child!

My Carry Potty is a little potty that can be folded up like a suitcase, that doesn’t leak, and is light enough for a toddler to carry it around!  We love ours!!  My daughter was intrigued right from the beginning.  She laughed with glee as I told her that it was her new little potty.  She got very excited and wanted to use it right away.   For my family, it has been our “car potty” or potty that you keep in the car so that your tiny two year old doesn’t have to use the public bathrooms or so that when you are in the middle of no where and you hear “Mommy, I’m peeing in my undies” you can pull over quickly and save yourself from having to wash the car seat!

I am not a fan of public restrooms.  No matter how clean they are, I do not want my baby to sit on the yucky public seat.  She obviously cannot hold herself from touching it so I would bring disposable seat liners or the fold up seat for her to use.  Now that she is a pro at using public restrooms, I can simply hold her in the air above the toilet to have her go, but with a second, very mobile 16 month old, this option isn’t really great either.  (And since we are about to have a third, I have no idea how I would even keep all three from touching things in the restroom or where I would have them stand or whatever.)  Soo my public restroom solution is AVOID IT ALL ALL COSTS!!  (hence the car potty for the newly trained pottiers ~ go before you enter the destination and then again when you leave!)

Previous to receiving this wonderful product, we just used a regular potty chair in the car.  (I never liked the idea of carrying liquid in a bag with the “traditional” travel potties.)   I was always nervous that the pee would splash out of the lidless potty though and would toss in a lot of toilet paper or a paper towel to kind of soak it up.  Then I would gingerly carry it inside and dump it into the trash (since I wouldn’t want paper towels going down the toilet!).   If it was a #2, then I would have to bag it right then and there and hope that I could find a garbage can soon ~ no fun!     Now, however, with the My Carry Potty when my daughter is done using her personal restroom, I simply close it up and forget about it until we get home!!    I love that my daughter can easily carry the potty back and forth to the van herself.   I say, “Sweetkins, don’t forget to take your potty with you” and she proudly picks it up, carries it out the door, down the steps and up into the van.    She does just the reverse when we get home if she has used it during our outing.  Really, the My Carry Potty has streamlined our potty habits when out and about and we have pretty much avoided the public bathroom scene.

My daughter has been potty trained since November, so I cannot say for sure whether or not that it will help quicken the process, but I feel really strongly that it would because my daughter really LOVES this potty too!  I think that its adorable size and lightweight  structure really appeal to her.
