P.F. Chang’s Home Menu – Review and Giveaway

We are in the middle of tee-ball season at our house AND I work for an organization with a fiscal year ending on June 30 and lots to do before that happens. So, as much as we love to cook, there are nights when “easy” is the key word. I was really happy to get to try out a dish from P.F. Chang’s Home Menu on one of those nights!
The new P.F. Chang’s Home Menu dishes are frozen meals for two. You open them up and saute them for the amount of time on the package. We went from freezer to table in about 15 minutes. I opted to try the Shanghai Style beef for my husband and I.
The taste was good, but not quite spicy enough for us. I added in some hot sauce while cooking to get it to the right heat for our taste. The beef held up really well while cooking–it never got tough on us!
My main complaint is that this did not come with rice, which I made on my own to put the beef and vegetables on. My biggest surprise was that, though still at 42% of the RDA per serving, the sodium level wasn’t crazy. I’ve eaten plenty of prepared foods that were WAY too salty. This was great!
Overall, I would get this again for a night like the ones we’ve been having lately.
